A team from the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) was at Ekocity Polytechnic today to do an orientation for our ND1 students who are about to commence their SIWES programme.
The programme was insightful, as it serves as the needed prerequisite that would motivate our students for the SIWES programme, and it clears all their doubts regarding the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) programme.
The Registrar was accompanied by the HODs after the ITF orientation.
The ITF personnel laid much emphasis on the need for our students to proceed to their SIWES places to gather industrial experience and represent Ekocity Polytechnic very well in their various organizations.
Mrs Alabi also reiterated the need for our students to abide by the ethics of any organization they find themselves in and do their best to be in the good books of the organisations.
More also, the importance of punctuality was mentioned at the SIWES workplace, which she said would be an important factor for them to be paid their stipends.
The SIWES Programme will commence immediately after the second semester exams for our ND 1 students.
